Take A Look Inside the 2022 CFJWJ Art and Awards Show Ceremony!

Our 2022 Art Show and Awards Celebration was nothing short of captivating. As community leaders from across Central Florida gathered underneath the moonlight, our coalition was reaffirmed of one vital truth: together we are more powerful than we could ever be alone. In reflecting upon the arduous challenges we collectively faced this year, we not only experienced moments of growth, but of endearment and care - and that made our victories all the more rewarding.

We want to congratulate everybody who was honored with an I'll Be There, Art of Solidarity, and Treston Davis-Faulker award. Groups and individuals like Starbucks Workers United, Florida Access Network, and Denise Diaz have inspired an entire generation of leaders who now walk on a solid foundation to organize and win on behalf of workers and frontline communities.

In continuing this fight, we are eager to announce that our 2022 Scrooge of the Year is none other than Christina Pappas, President of the Florida Association of Realtors. No one was more deserving this year than the person who worked tirelessly behind-the-scenes to block Orange County tenants from voting on rent stabilization during a housing state of emergency.

Through your generosity, we were able to fundraise our highest total yet! In ticket sales, sponsors, bidding, and donations we raised a total of: $41,540!

We couldn't have done that without supporters YOU 🙌🏽

We've even got you covered with the inside scoop on local labor struggles and victories! Re-live our impactful showcase of movement solidarity through our Golden Hour Virtual Pre-Show on Facebook. Hosted by Devan Cheaves and Elizabeth Mputu, our Virtual Pre-Show is your go-to destination for interviews from Central Florida labor leaders, workers, artists, and individual members of our coalition 🎤

Finally, you can access all of the images from our photo booth (Thanks to Black Shell Studio) taken throughout the night below:

We couldn't have done this without you and we wish you the happiest of holidays with your loved ones and powerful closing of the year. We will stand resilience in the new year to come.
